We live at a Greystar 55+ property in Virginia. We want to transfer within our community to a home with a fence. Our property manager does not seem to want to let us transfer. They say we do not have to provide a new application to transfer which seems contrary to the process detailed in your above description. We also have observed that the property manager seems to be giving priority to outside applicants and is not accepting transfer applications on specific properties from current residents, which also seems contrary to Greystar policies of wanting to retain current residents. Our community, Maple Grove is a great property and we want to remain here for many years to come, however our current unit does not have a fence, and is very noisy because of barking dogs and adjacent rural property less than 50 feet away. As well heavy in traffic and children playing in our immediate area . We prefer a unit that is more oriented to a senior lifestyle. We would like to speak with someone above our community manager who can verify that Greystar policies are in fact being fairly interpreted and enforced for current residents.
